Tyre size help please

Need some new boots for the supe.

 

Not sure if what is on is correct so help is required.

 

I have done the tyre converter thing and found lots of different mixtures that would give the same rolling radius so now totally confused:conf:

 

Wheels;

 

Front, Volk SF Challenge 18x8

 

Rear, Volk SF Challenge 18x9

 

Tyres;

 

Front 245/40/18

 

Rear 275/35/18.

 

 

Are these correct or should they be, front 235/40/18 and rear 255/35/18.

 

Please help or direct me to a thread that will, i've done the search and there are 100's mentioning tyres.

i think you'd be better off with the 235 and 255 tyres, from a cost, rolling radii, and possibly handling perspective.

i have blitz wheels of 18 x 8 and 18 x 9, and use 235/40 and 255/35 Goodyear F1's (£525ish for all four)

 

No complaints here.....

your 9' rear is narrower than the stock 17' so 255 rear would suit and possible going up to 265. With 235 at the front.

Car is a 93 J-Spec so standard wheels were 16 x 8 front and 16 x 9 rear methinks.
