johnd-mkiv Posted August 17, 2007 Share Posted August 17, 2007 I have noticed the turbo oil feed union has started to weep on the thread connecting the 90 deg union to the plate that bolts to the turbo. It seems to have been put together with some sort of paste. I was thinking of using P,T.F.E tape but not sure if that will hold due to the temps, I also have some boss white that we use on steam lines at work. Just wondering what is best used? thanks I used some high temp sealant paste to seal mine. but i,m sure ptfe tape should be fine:) Try not to over tighten the union. when you undo the union make sure no debris enter the feed line, which is possible when excessive sealant is used in some cases.
