RobSheffield
Dunno, but for me it was only 30£ great value. Yep. Halfords do that can for £40, so its even better than that, plus you get leak tested with Ibrar too
Bobbeh
Yeah well I tried the £40 Halfords job before I saw him, and honestly it was a waste of time.
Guest Chumpalot
do Halfrauds do air-con regassing?
RobSheffield
They sell a bottle and nozzle which is hit and miss
Bobbeh
Not that i'm aware, they sell a can that you can use. For £39.
Guest Chumpalot
and what do I do with said 'can'? I'd be willing to give it a go for £40. I'll get one of the monkeys to come out with me to the car.
Bobbeh
Its all decribed on the can.. basically you empty the contents into the low pressure side of things.. but tbh its a waste of time and money imho.
Guest Chumpalot
Thanks for the advice Bobbeh
Wez
They will come out and fill it for you free of charge when you buy the can but the cans are not exactly brilliant.
Guest Chumpalot
in what way are they 'not brilliant'? Air con isn't as cold you mean? At the moment I'm turning it on and i just get a nasty smell through the vents, quite nasty really as I said before for £40 I'll give it a shot and see if it works, can't harm anything surely? Wez
The adapter isnt brilliant and the pipe isnt really long enough to be able to use it properly on a supra, r134a is r134a which ever can it comes in, its just the device you use to get it into your system To be honest my NA AC wasnt working properly, it would occasionally click on and off and wasnt cold, i used a whole halfrauds can, most of which i dont think went into the system but now it does work a little better but I am getting a full regas done this weekend. RobSheffield
You need a disinfectant 'bomb' mr Chumpalot...
Guest Chumpalot
I'm completely lost now It's Friday afternoon, all attempts at humour are honestly wasted on me. If indeed that was one.
ivan
It's not a joke. Apparently you set the thing off and close the car. Leave it to circulate for a while then run the aircon. But I wouldn't know where to look to get one.
Guest Chumpalot
sounds scary.... Where do I get one?
dr_blackman
Yep Ibrar sorted my wheel vibrations out about a month ago, top bloke!
RobSheffield
Nope, iirc the Halfrauds near us have a 'deal' on at the moment. 39.99 for A/C charge bottle and a free disinfectant 'bomb' thingy. Basically, run car, run a/c put 'bomb' canister in the footwell, and its smoke gets sucked in and cleans all the fungus and mould in the a/c condensors etc so should smell nice after Thing is that with Ibrars service for 10 quid less, you get a full amount of aircon gas, the old gas vacuumed out and a check done for leaks
Wez
Yep thats the halfrauds deal i got, not used the stink bomb thing yet though.
