Robbo
Maybe that's the thing - I obviously don't look the part. I'm sure you do Dave
Shadow Beast
Exactly, it's down to personal choice at the end of the day. I just got sick of looking the part in my Supe and not been able to back it up with the power. thats the same as the wife, she has the car with the looks, sounds great but now she wants to be able to back it up as well with the performance. Guigsy
tell her its going in for a service, tell them they will need it for a day or so. send it off to jezzy and it'll come back with a couple of turbos
Pot
Well, do those cars have the style, and looks of the Sup? No they don't, do they have the fantastic traction of the MkIV Sup? No they don't, are they a Sup?... No they're not... So why compare these low life piles of Toss to the car, and say they're even close to the car?... Sorry, I don't have forced induction, and I wish I did!... I made a cock up when I bought my car! I thought the auto box was shit! But now I'm here I know it isn't... But I know from what I've beaten the NA has still got a stack of lead in it's pencil...
Mike
It's a discussion that will run and run. I would say that same Mini would probably have handed a TT it's ass too, but getting beat by a Corsa? there is something wrong with the car or driver!? robin
a standard corsa VXR (new one) is ment to be about 6.8 0-60 and as its a turbo surely its fairly trivial to raise the boost a little?
Shadow Beast
Get some money spent and buy her a turbo'd car have spoke to jezzy and its looking like its going to be going in around christmas time to have an engine swap!! just need to sort out some funds first!!!!! sounds like it would be a good move dont think we shall lose to much money on it, at least then got the power to match the looks! DaveK
Don't insurance companies want quite a lot of money when you stick a turbo onto a car that didn't have one - and doesn't have uprated brakes etc. to match?

Guigsy
jspec TT's came with "normal" non uk spec brakes anyway. so souldnt make any difference in my mind.
ivan
That won't stop the insurance co's taking their pound of flesh though.

That won't stop the insurance co's taking their pound of flesh though. Indeed - there is not much logic to them. I guarantee that if I put the "big red" turbo brakes on my NA 964 - without changing power etc. - my insurance would go up.
