tbourner Posted November 10, 2004 Share Posted November 10, 2004 OK, I 've never had to put in or top up anti-freeze in my cars before. So what do I need to put in? How much (%)? Quoting the manual:- Use a good brand of ethylene-glycol base coolant and mix it according to the manufacturer's directions. Using coolant which includes more than 50% ethylene-glycol (but not more than 70%) is recommended. NOTICE:- Do not use alcohol type coolant. Some people have told me not to mix any of them, others say don't mix different colours, and a few have said it doesn't matter at all just top up with whatever you can get (as long as it's ethylene-glycol). mikeb Posted December 9, 2004 Share Posted December 9, 2004 Toyota 4Life coolant is used neat, not diluted like normal antifreeze. It's better than most other antifreeze and it lasts for ages.
