Pig
Please keep this on topic for a couple of pages. If there are any people out there who know there stuff please see this pics and let me know what i should do. The clutch has only done a few thousand miles and is a RPS Carbon Carbon tripple plate clutch. I have also been informed the fly wheel has seen better day. Thanks for you time. Jon Last pic is sump leak  please dont worry about that one. Jon
michel lane
that does not look like a rps clutch , i believe they only make twin plates aswell. The carbon side is caput ...... it looks like its had alot of miles on the clutch or some serious hard drag racing , saying that i have been lunching mine for 2 years now and it does not look anywhere as bad as this. If its an rps , it should have it stamped on the 2 plates and the flywheel should be a carbon unit aswell. and it is.... are you sure its not an exceddy unit ? SimonB
Definitely dead, there's chunks that have broken off! In the same place too, looks like a manufacturing defect or design flaw or something. That flywheel looks nasty too, look at the welds! Doesn't look like the quality I'd expect from RPS.

Pig
Greg from Turbo fit has assured me it was the RPS tripple place carbon from his drag car but had only done 4 runs up the strip and a trip to ace cafe. How would i find out the make of the clutch? The Flywheel is chrome molly. Prehaps the welds are due to greg strengthing it???
michel lane
This is not an RPS unit , they usually have RPS stamped all over the flywheel and plates. If it is, contact RPS and they will refurbish the disks and flywheel for very little money , i was quoted around £500 from mvp when i bought mine , just incase it ever happened. I had it out last month for a gearbox check and the clutch looked like new..
michel lane
have a look at the website ... http://www.turboclutch.com/ccarbon.html you can see how the carbon is segmented on , it is totally different from your pictures. Mine looks the same as the pics...
