jazz1
a bit fiddly but not that hard;)and oil will not leak then what are those pipes going into each side of them feeding the engine?
Ian C
They are your breather hoses (or PCV - Positive Crankcase Ventilation system). There is a film of oil in them but not enough to drip out. The cam covers will have oil on their internal surfaces so watch out for that. Your cams and valvetrain are under those cam covers, as well as oil drain holes and stuff going into the block so if your car is going to be without those covers for a few days make sure you cover the exposed stuff up really really well -Ian

TLicense
If it hasn't been done before, (or in a long time) when you take them off, replace both the gaskets, and also all the washers with new ones. You'll also need some sealant to stop oil from seaping out from the corners around the front bearing caps. Lastly, when you do the bolts up, you'll want to make sure that you do them up to the right torque as well.
