Jake
The dipped beam needed adjustment. Is it normal for the mot tester to have the the young receptionist bird sit in the car with him when he's doing the emissions and brake tests? WTF is that about? ivan
Sure it was a receptionist and not a trainee? She probably felt safer in there than outside with you Jake.
Jake
Sure it was a receptionist and not a trainee? Yeah, it was definitely a bird. I'm getting real good at telling the difference since that incident in Bangkok She probably felt safer in there than outside with you Jake. That'll be it! Chris Wilson
Was it a good manly emission? Was she impressed? I'd find a new garage, you might get a bit of bird shit on the car here, but there would be no dodgy carrying on like that here, I can assure you! Elmo
Metal pole jobbies you turn in the back of the lenses. The other night when I was out I thought my beam seemed high, I must need to twiddle on the jobbies. Silly question, but how do you know when the beam is aligned correctly?? ivan
Silly question, but how do you know when the beam is aligned correctly??Rule of thumb method: Park facing a wall at about 2ft distance. Dip lights on, mark the beam pattern lines with a pencil. Reverse to about 10ft distance. The beam patterns should have dropped slightly against the wall. 2in is about right. Obviously, this needs to be done on flat level ground and preferably not in bright sunlight.
