Guest supercar slayer Posted August 13, 2007 Share Posted August 13, 2007 hi i have purchased some tein felx coilovers about 7 months ago and around a 2 months ago i discovered a knockin noise coming from the back left took it to my mechanic and he suggestead to change the bushes so i uprated them to poly ones en it was still happeing then he removed the sub frame and discovered nothing was a miss the anti roll bar was fine and i had cleared the boot out aswell and it was still happening and now the back right is knocking to! Tricky-Ricky Posted August 13, 2007 Share Posted August 13, 2007 I had a similar knocking from my left rear, eventually changed the shocks, from the std? electro viscus ones to Tein,which are good IMO but on examination of the one that came off i found that it looked like the internal bump stop had gone! as the extension was about 1.5in longer than it should be:blink: Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
JODY T Posted August 13, 2007 Share Posted August 13, 2007 Have you checked the top nuts? We had an RX8 in with TEIN FLEX, that kept knocking... We found that the nut was loosening after time... Ive poped a new nut on it with a tiny bit of thread locker... Its not knocked since.. Worth checking out before you go replacing stuff... You can also get the TEIN stuff refurbshed too...
