uzthedentist
hammerite smooth is best, you can also ask them for specific colours like i used to mix my project mu blue colour http://www.uzmanulhaq.info/caliperpaint.jpg
chilly
Speak to Gaz at Envy mate, he can get them powder coated which is a better finish. Pics of mine in my garage.

Ben-san
Hammerite smooth - but make sure you prep the surface properly first. I'd also recommend you use high-heat lacquer to seal it in as Hammerite does discolour over time. Not to mention making it easier to clean. merckx
Some fairly coarse wet and dry will do the trick.
Ben-san
Some fairly coarse wet and dry will do the trick. Yup, I concur. A bit of scrubbing with a wire brush to get the majority of the muck off, some wet 'n' dry to clean and smooth the surface down a little. Use the hammerite sparingly as it tends to drip under its own weight.
kieren1234
Yep, good old hammerite smooth does the trick and looks great.
