Muffleman
Man I hate shaving, but don't like beards either I use an electric razor, keeps rash in check for me
neil tt
I shave with an electric razor all week, and only wet shave once a week:)
carl0s
Yep, just use an electric. I was given a Philips Williams-racing weird looking thing for christmas. Although it takes ages to shave with, and leaves a few here and there, at least you won't get a rash.

Hermit
Shave after a shower, keep your face wet. Works for me, putting lotion on afterwards didn't help much. Hang on - we are talking about your face, aren't we? The perfect shave, apparently.
dangerous brain
Erm exfoliate regularly (I know noffink about this honest Guv). If you are going to get an electric I would recommend the braun synchro like this one http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=190139558915 I used to get really bad rashes and once managed to get herpitic impetigo in one of the rashes (that was very nasty and not at all aesthetically pleasing). I used all manner of lotions and razors but ended up with a regime of shaving only when I had to for work and when I didn't have to every other week day and not at all at weekends. I hate facial hair though so was very impressed when I stumbled across this razor. It shaves pretty much as close as a wet razor, doesn't give much bad razor burn, and cleans itself sterile every time you put it in its cleaner machine. I rarely get ingrown hairs anymore, and only suffer shaving sting on extremely hot days if I sweat an awful lot. In fact that one in that link is such a good deal I think I will get another one to replace the one thats 5 years or more old and started playing up since I washed it under the tap after getting coated in a burst shampoo that coagulated on there. Oh hold the fort you like gadgetty things and aren't a pauper like me so hows about this one http://www.shavers.co.uk/images/products/732_large.jpg http://www.shavers.co.uk/shopping.php?product_id=732&utm_source=base&utm_medium=directory Now that looks like the daddio of electric shavers

Sheefa
Seriously, you can't beat a good wetshave. I've used the Gillette Sensor Excel for over 5 years or so now Ewen. It's only got 2 blades, none of this 5-blade turbo shite they often advertise (it's quite old now) but it works a treat. I used to get very itchy uncomfortable skin before. I use that with KOS gel balm and finally whack some nice Molten Brown lotion on. Works perfectly for me mate.
