any one else had this problem or has any ideas please help

Ok, just to elaborate this is someone's car off the board so any help would be benificial for them.........

Car is face lift so has stock +/- boost gauge on the dash, which is only showing no1 turbo. Now sometimes this gauge hits full boost and other times its only showing half boost.

Coompletely removed the boost controller, by putting back all pipes as they were when standard and removing electrical connection, unless there is some other way that the boost controller could have still been messing with things.

Thought it might have been re-circ bov, replaced with my own, and no difference.

Doesnt appear to be any boost leaks, but wouldnt say it is that as it is intermitent (sp)......

So actuator problems, sticky diaphram (sp)...........

sorry mate guess you never had a car that you have got stuck on

just thought it would make sense to see if any one has had the same trouble and to save him some money but not changing parts for no reason to cure the problem

not all of us are in it just for the money some of us do it cause its a love for cars

i didnt charge you for my advice when you asked about the gas on your car or say tuners dont help tuners, no i just helped

so i will help you some more.........

get off your high horse

and wind your neck in

and by the way next time you run a 10.8 try and do it without

melting across the line........

TBH - I always thought that his piping was a little strange (especially the boost controller plumbing!) as it didn't match any others similar that I had seen

Could I suggest that you remove the piping to the boost controller completely / switch it off- put the piping back to stock and then try it without

Might be delimiter - but sounds this or actuator?

:(

Dude no one minds helping anyone but if you are working on peoples cars then at least say so , dont make out that you are doing them a favour , YOU are more than welcome to phone me at any time if you get stuck with anything but i do think its taking the piss a bit to get Ash to phone me asking prices for a bottom end rebuild etc for a job you are obviouly trying to price up !!!!.Why didnt you just phone me direct and ask straight out ??? its not a problem , i just dont like being used as a pricing service , BTW it was a blown HG the 10.8 run was sans NOS ;)

Got some actuators here you can try if you need them , infact if Ian knows the pressure they open at i can test those before sending them , the back one however is a complete pain to change and its odds on the little horseshoe clip will get lost .!!

Thanks For all ya help...

Though Now you all know it was my car in question, you may remember when this problem first started.

Its been almost 18 months, since I paid JPS motorsport 'Very Good Money' to sort this problem out, first thing 'THEY' did was change the Fuel Pump, then after FIVE very hard days !!!!!!! of 'Sweating' !!!!!!! and almost a whole tank of my Fuel !!!!!!!! the keys were shoved back in my hands and I was told it was fixed.....

For 18 months Ive been driving a sick car, and dare not trust anyone after that experience.

I met Paul and he SOLVED the problem in 5 Hours well I mean it actually took him less than HALF an hour to diagnose the problem, but was having some other work done too.

Although Paul dosn't advertise with 'Loud Mouth Adverts' everywhere...he dosn't really need to....its like going to a restaurant do you go to the one with LOUD MOUTH Advertising or to the one hidden around the corner with No Name.

There is a restaurant in West Hollywood known as the Restaurant with no name, it is frequented by Hollywoods Finest...if you dont know about it you are not worthy to wipe your feet on the door matt !!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks Paul Incredible Mechanic, honest, and not Greedy.

AT LAST...someone I can Trust, thanks to Ash too for helping me as well.

I'm well happy now!

 :lalala: :lalala: :lalala:

I too must echo green peace's sentiments and say Paul is a top bloke.

I arrived at his garage with the water hose busted and the bolt on my cam pully having become one with the car.

Totally honest, very straight forward and upfront on all aspects.

He may not like the loud mouth advertising but i'm pretty sure there'll be a few more posts like these coming up in the future.

the car was still working on full boost and some times half boost

so yeh i thought boost controller or actuator or ic

but belive it or not this was the problem

now bear in mind this has taken one year and nearly one thousand pounds in labour from previous garages to find

and none have found the problem and still charge for a problem they have not fixed

would it not have been wise to replace old worn hoses. seems to cause a lot of people problems with boost issues. a lot of money wasted there
