gambie
just had my renewal through ( had to remind them) i have dropped my mileage to 5k and took the other driver off and it comes to £7 less than last year that is now 6 years no claims, i asked why so little and it seems the charge for agreed value has nearly doubled to £72 so it seems if they can`t get you one way they will get you another anyone else do agreed value i am over 40 and its not my main car. adrian flux will do it for £380 without agreed value sky said they will match it but then walloped me with the increasein there agreed value strange!!!! Lukeyboy2k
Last year mine was approx £550, then with agreed value for an additional £35, so approx £585 all in. Had my renewal posted through yesterday for £516. Agreed value was an extra £72.50. I said I'd shop around, but then was offered £20 reduction if I took the deal there and then. Probably a bit of gamesmanship from SKY, but I thought "what the hell - I can't be bothered phoning around, and other places probably won't offer me the agreed valuation". So, I've taken them up on the offer for £568.50 all inclusive. (29yo, daily driver 5yr NCB). A slight reduction from last year, so I'm happy with that. dr_blackman
Think i'll be trying a-plan in Jan when mines up for renewal if it doesn't go down much... all these threads moaning about sky are putting me off them!
Whitesupraboy2
£380!!! My view is car insurance can only reduce so far. We have to remember whether we have a crash or not they are still high powered cars. And unfortunatly the risk of them being nicked never reduces

MLC
Sky still not giving new customers agreed value. Never got a quote back from A-plan so went with Adrian Flux for £514, all mods declared, like for like and guarenteed buyback as cat C or D. Not too bad for a candy daily driver imo

I hope Sky will try and match other companies quotes when it comes to my renewal, i really don't mind the increase in the AG charge if only they can come up with more competitive rates! I'm an old git to, and my car is for domestic and pleasure only but sole vehicle.
Tourniquet
Check out my threads concerning Sky and all the shit I've had with them. I'm now coming up to my 4th week waiting for my cheque. I could have walked there and back by now. Although it's Claimtec mainly to blaim (who Sky have since dumped) I still feel fcuked over by the incompetance of the lot of them. Michelle and Scott have individualy been great but I still wouldn't trust using them again after this.
