Golddigga
Hi all, Has anybody got any pics of their own meshed stock bumper? Also, did you manage to mesh it without taking the bumper off? I know that there is a really useful thread regarding meshing the bumper but would like somebody's views that has done it themselves. Thanks,

AndrewOW
It looks like 'they' have put it into position with some type of inserts? Sorry, I didn't mention that 'they' are the bodyshop that I use locally (great at resprays etc, but not so good at anything else ). The mesh itself was the Ripspeed racing mesh from Halfrauds, and I think 'they' used filler to get a good bond behind the bumper. Unfortunately, if I was to take to the bumper off, I don't know how impressed I would be with the work behind there, but its holding fast, and looks pretty cool, as Gaz1 kindly agrees I would recommend you take the bumper off and do it with hooks and fibre glass glue etc.

zap
We done ours using the instructional thread on the forum, piece of cake, took bumper right off though, makes things easier. Will post some pics when I find them.
Smellywelshman
Aye, did mine while the bumper was off too. You can get a much better finish (especially to the sides) when its off! Oh and gripfill works a treat! Use steel (stainless if you can get hold of/afford it) tho. My mates meshed his FTO in aluminium and it bends out of shape every time a fly hits it (but then again FTO's ARE made out of tin)! Steel isn't that hard to work with! Looks so much better tho! Dont know why Toyota didn't do it to start with!
