michael
I seem to be missing some kind of bracket that looks as though it should sit under or over the OEM fan shroud and allow it to fix against a mounting on the radiator - there is one on the side nearest the battery but having removed the air feed for the airbox for the first time I can see a "bodge" using a cable tie where I think a bracket should be - another hidden "repair" from the past So please see the attached pic, you can see a captive nut on the rad and a small hole in the plastic fan shroud - I presume the two of these should connect up to hold the shroud in place and would like to make this happen again without the use of a cable tie. Having looked at pics of other cars on the 'net I can't see this hole, perhaps the showcar building company opted to drill it to make the cable tie repair easier for them? I'll try to have a look at some more cars at Squires but if anyone has some insight or EPC pics of this area in the meantime I'd be grateful. Finally if anyone has this missing part knocking around and wants to sell it please let me know
Pig
Dont know but be careful. When mine was snapped it got caught on the fan and made the car over heat.
mr lover
I have no hole but there is a bracket there running down behind the rad
michael
I replaced the TRD cable tie with a nice blue one so the fan can spin as intended, it's been like that for a while and is all secure so should be OK, thanks for the warning though. michael
I have no hole but there is a bracket there running down behind the rad It seems I'm missing that and that the hole has been "added", it's quite uniform though so hats off to the drill man.
