auto box playing up?? help needed

just been out for a blast switched slip control off and then give it a good right foot full and came to some lights and the bloody thing started to stutter and it would hardley move off the lights the speedo neadle was jumping up and down little bits and the it went crazy going all the way around the clock, i have then switched the slip control back to normal and the speedo still going crazy but car running sort of normal then the slip control starts to flash:rolleyes:

 

this sometimes happens when i first get into the car and try to engage reverse seems to not find any gear???

just got home and switched it off and then restarted and went around the block seems ok but i never nailed it so not to sure its fully ok any ideas guy's:(

Not sure if the 2 are related (speedo clock problem and slip control) but my speedo sometimes does this. When I come to a stand still it'll idle really low and then sometimes stall when moving off.

 

I'm 90% sure it's the speedo conversion that's at fault, either a dodgy wire or connection perhaps. I've had the dash off but couldn't see anything majorly wrong, might need to take another look.

 

This is all related to error code 42 of which there are plenty of threads on.

 

Do you get a flashing OD light or the warning light come on? How about the engine management light?

i have done the testing for the error codes nothing at all and the od light does not flash or the engine management light:search:
