Hi guys,

Just after abit of advice, my car is due a service about now, im gona be replacing engine oil and oil filter, air filter and plugs, can anyone give me any ideas what the best engine oil and spark plugs to use are. Thinking of buying a performance pannel filter can anyone tell me if these are any good or should i just stick to the origional one (or would an induction kit be the best route). also where is the best place to get the parts from (im in the midlands), or does anyone know of anywhere i can get it serviced for a reasonable price by people who know what they're doing? any help would be greatly appreciated.

also thinking of upgrading the alarm soon if anyone knows of any decent ones

Cheers

If your car is unmodified you could buy all the service parts from Toyota.

The consensus on here is that the stock filter is best, induction kits don't give you the same levels of filtration.

Do a search for Chris Wilson on here, he lives in north Shropshire. He's widely used for all sorts of work on members cars.

Spark Plugs

Lubricants

The Toad ai606 is a Cat 1 alarm, very reliable. :)

Pro S 10W-50 is recommended one you can get for Supra. You will need 10 litres of oil.

Iridium Power IK24 - if your car have non modified engine. You will not need to make a gap and iridium stays for ages. You will need 6 of those.

Oil Filter 10241 is required for mkiv Supra.

And yes - visit Chris Wilson - he is respected performance cars specialist.

I'd go for NGK copper plugs personally and just swap them out more regularly.

Iridium plugs offer no other advantage other than the fact they last longer. I'd rather a copper plug fail on me than an Iridium one too. Copper ones will just melt and could cause potentially far less damage.
