Andrew
The instructions that came with it are in Japanese, and I was wondering what the turning nut does. I'm assuming it has something to do with how much pressure the valve can hold? There are some numbers on the nut too which I don't understand. Anyone have one or any ideas about this? Oh yeah and by the way thanks for the speedy delivery JB, I will be using your store again if the service is this good Cheers Andrew
Adam Kindness
it sets the pressure at which it'll 'fire'... i asked the same was tld, dont bother unless you know what your doing! I dont, so i didnt!!
Adam W
I think if you have it set too "soft" then the spring will release under high boost, and you will notice your boost (when accelerating) will go up and up and up, and then level off at alower level then previous, as air starts to leak out of your BOV. If you set it too hard, then (I think) you may have problems with compressed air flowing back against the turbos before the valve opens. Or it will not release at all at low-medium boost pressures. I guess also if you set it too hard, then it will not "fire" when you rev it at idle, which is the main reason most of us buy BOV's!!! I haven't got any experience of this yet, but I also have a vent-to-atmos BOV which I will be fitting soon, so I will be interested to hear other peoples thoughts. Andrew
I'll leave well alone then. Last thing I want is my Turbo blades firing out the exhaust. You were right about it sounding like a sneeze Adam Sounds great when you hit high boost though.
