Help!! New Supra Owner!!

Lots of NAs have the active spoiler (mine does).

My money's on a bad bonnet closure sensor - if the bonnet isn't quite closed the warning triangle comes on, but only above a certain speed (although in my experience it's quite a high speed). Other than the brakefluid and oil (with corresponding oil light) I can't think of any other reason it would only light up after a while. Definitely worth getting checked out - Toyota will charge you a fortune though (£58/hour round here) for something that might not be easy to trace, unless an engine diagnostic reveals all. Might be cheaper to use someone on here, if you post up where you are.

Might be because its an SZ-R. I can honestly say I've never seen one on an SZ (and I've seen a few now), the spec sheets I have for the SZ doesn't list it as standard equipment or an option, although I'd like to be proven wrong, then I might be able to fit one to mine. :)

Nick,

Do the lights on the top right hand side all come on with the ignition and then go out when you start the engine? The reason I ask is that I'm wondering if you are seeing the engine oil warning.

IIRC, it would normally show the red triangle and the engine warning light together.

I had this problem after an oil change once. The level looked OK on the dip stick, about half way, but the warning kept coming on after a couple of miles of driving. I topped the oil up a bit and it's been fine since then.

You may have just solved my problem! Gonna check my levels tonight

It would be great if someone can come and take a look at it. I currently live in Winsford, Chesihire but could travel somewhere if it isnt too far....

Does anyone live in this area who might be able to help out a fellow Supra owner??? (long shot but hey, worth a try)!!

Thanks

Nick

Top it up anyway, even though it looks ok. What happens is it sloshes about and triggers the fluid low warning.
