MrHanky
Seriously as a kid with the original Transformers I do not remember this many issues transforming. My little lad loves them at the minute and as a result I have bought him a few over the last few weeks. Some are ok like Starscream (although there are 3 different versions of him) but we have just bought him Megatron and he should be used as a Krypton Factor challenge (for those that remember the show). Im not sure whether they are just really difficult now or I am turning into an old fart Anyway I have got to get back to transforming this pile of crap (he's not even a gun anymore ) Mark

RedM
I couldn't stand Transformers as a kid and I'll tell you why. Scale! A car or truck that turns into a robot. That was fine. A cassette that does the same was just wrong! A cassette as big as a car that turns into a robot as big as the others. Wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong. So, a question of scale means I couldn't give two hoots about them then or now.
MrHanky
where did you get them mate my wee boy loves em too!!! Just Toys R Us and Asda. Bumblebee, Starscream, Ironhide and Blackout are all easy enough but Megatron is impossible.

edd_t
the new toys are such bad quality compared to the originals. the plastic is thin and flimsy

I've spent my whole life thinking I was a weirdo but I now find I am not alone. Actually, I might still be weirdo. Why? Star Wars playset not being to scale. The Death Star was about half as big as a footie pitch compared to the size of the figure! C'mon, I know I was only like 7 or 8 but I wasn't stupid. I ended up building my own playsets from cardboard. They were huge. As for the Millennium Falcon! Have a laugh!!!!
TLicense
the new toys are such bad quality compared to the originals. the plastic is thin and flimsy You say that I remember crying all day on Christmas day when I broke one of the arms off of Megatron within an hour of opening the box. My parents sent it back and I got a new one. I broke the arms off that a few years later. I was a BIG fan when I was a lad. I've still got them all in a box in my parents loft. ivan
Me too (except that I KNOW I'm an old fart). I bought two Supra Bots a while ago. One was for my 8yo nephew and he can change it in about a minute.

Those speeder bikes, how could they be nearly the same size as an AT-ST (the two legged walkers)? Snow speeder, there's no way it could wrap around the AT-ATs legs like in the film. Problem was when I did get toys that actually were to scale I either swallowed or lost the tiny bits.
Blackie
used to love it! but what benefits could you have in changing into a cassette? or, if you are a cassette you would be inanimate! wtf

DannyW
Ive been helping my mum and dad sort their attic out today as they are moving soon. Most of the stuff hasn't been touched for at least 20 years. I remember having loads of transformers as a kid but i could only find one today, but JESUS it's hard to transform! definately made me feel old, i don't remember them being so complex. Looking on the brightside though i found a stash of original star wars figures to go with the load i already have
