Rich
Hi all having running problems when the ccar is first started up,it idles very low and cuts out now and again until warm and then it runs fine ,does anybody now what the cause of this problem is,Ive had a couple of niggling electrical faults since the engine has been taken out to be rebuilt and put back in including the engine warning light coming on because something is now wrong with the wiring for the active front spoiler. does anybody know how to sort this? cheers Richie:thumbs:
tbourner
I've been searching for O2 sensor faults recently, seems a lot of them are going wrong. Try checking the voltage of the Oxygen sensor on the OX1 pin of the engine bay diagnostic port.
Rich
is that sounding like an 02 sensor fault then Trev?
tbourner
I'm certainly no expert, but it's a pretty easy thing to check - I can do it so it must be!!! I've just read a lot of stuff about the sensors on here and they can do weird things if gone/going/dirty.
stt
That sounds like it makes sense,The car runs poor because it is not getting in the extra fuel it needs when its cold,If the lambda sensor is going duff then it would give readings saying that there is too much unburnt fuel in the exhaust system so the ECU would then reduce the fueling to compensate
