Parking on Zebra Zig Zags

That sucks man is it me or has the world gone mad? surely that's a valid reason....

Erm!! No..... It's absolutely and totally suicidal for a pedestrian to cross with the view obstructed no matter what reason the person has for stopping on zig zags. I sympathise with disabled drivers but what's next? Can they drive through red lights because they can't operate the brake properly??

Nobody able to drive is that disabled that they need to park on a crossing's zig-zags and endanger innocent pedestrians. It's either laziness, ignorance or arrogance.

Great post! ;)

  • 3 weeks later...

I went out for lunch and spied a great spot right outside Subway - but guess what? It's also on the zig zags by a zebra crossing.

How tempting was that?

"Oh no", I thought to myself, "you don't want to be like Matt. I'll just go around the corner and walk a little further."

Right as the guy behind me pulled into it.

Also wasn't this discussed a little while back?
I think this thread was the initial "did I do wrong" query where the other one was a moan about the consequences of having done it and getting caught. :D

Either way, the answer's the same. ;)

I went to casualty yesterday and on the zig zags of the zebra crossing outside the entrance there was an ambulance parked, I could see nothing as I risked life and limb (further) trying to get to the car park to leave. I contemplated taking a picture of it for Matt but couldn't be bothered.
