Got pulled doing 104mph on the M65 in July 06.

When I went to produce my documents I realised Sky hadn't sent my insurance document back to me after renewal. I'd made the stupid mistake of telling them that my car would be getting modded in a few months time and asked for a modification form so I had one ready. Sky would only issue covernotes from that point on until the mod form was returned even though I'd said the car wasn't going in to the bodyshop for another few months.

Forgot all about it until an arrest warrent turned up in the post on Saturday.

Turns out I should have been in court a few weeks ago, but nothing had ever come through the post.

Rang Sky first thing Monday to get them to send me a copy of last years insurance. They told me they had to get in tough with someone else to organise that and eventually rang me back to tell me the bloke was on holiday but they'd try to get one sent for today. Nothing arrived.

Had to be in the Magistrates Court at 9:15 this morning.

The police hadn't informed the court so nothing was known about it.

Finally got seen at 20 past 5! I'd been asleep in the waiting room for an hour so went in all dazed and groggy to start with.

Got handed a 35 day ban, £750 fine payable in 14 days and possibly 6 points, but I was kinda shellshocked so can't really remember.

Happy birthday me :(

Got to work out how to get to work in Salford Quays tomorrow morning. That's gonna be a mare.

Looks like I'll not be at Mascrat & Haigh Hall this month.

Sucks to be me

Initially, it was a copper sat in a lay-by on the motorway. Then they managed to send the arrest warrent to the right address.

I suppose it could have been worse, one lad with basically the same issue as me got a 1600 quid fine, I think 9 points and because he drove for a living was ordered to have a tag fitted and be bound over for 35 days.

Don't have a bike. It's looking like a 10 quid return train journey followed by a 2 mile walk from the station to the office.

50 quid a week on train fares! It costs me less than that to drive the Supra the 35 miles into work! So much for buying more stuff.
