Guest Philbert
I have been a member for a while now but just browsed and not posted (sorry) I turned to the dark side and bought an import WRX but I am on the trail for a supra again, I have made enquiries about the below vehicle and just wanted to know what you all thought before I dive into something, hopefully the guy will give me a good price on my impreza too. (The supra is up for £7k) Regards Phill

carl0s
Good price for a TT. Mine was £7k and it's a year older than that one, has some miles on the clock and came without tyres. Not so sure if it's a good price for an NA though.
Guest Philbert
Sorry its actually an N/A what sort of price doe the facelifts go for???
carl0s
They vary I suppose, but with pre-facelift NAs going for £3 - £4k, I think a facelift NA should be no more than £5 - 6k, IMO, unless it was a 2002 car of course.
Guest Philbert
ok thanks so basically I should be offering a lot less than that lol
carl0s
It's up to you and how much you want the car I suppose, and what else is out there. Facelift cars do seem to be a bit harder to find than pre-facelift, but that doesn't mean it's a sellers market exactly. Is it manual or auto? Manual boxes aren't rare in NAs as sellers would have you beleive, and it's not the super-strong getrag v160/v161 box, but manuals are still worth a bit more money than autos, even though they're not rare or unusual in NA form. What's the condition like? Spotless? I dunno. It's definately in the right colour, and if it's manual and that's the car that you like then it's still a great car for £6,500. I just think that sort of money is a bit too close to what you could have a simlar TT for.
