just bought my self a new ally rad for my supra, just wondered what type of coolant to use as there are two different types of coolant ?. and also where abouts is the thermostat hidden as i may as well change that at the same time dependant on what its condition is.

cheers in advance

the thermostat is in the bottom hose, right near the alternator. It's a bitch to get at unless you take the alt off (if you have big hands like me). Also, make sure you get a proper seal when putting it back together or it will leak and thats the most annoying thing EVER! (I kept catching a small cable in there but couldn't see it)

I'd change it for sure when changing the rad after my problems (new engine required!).

Oh, and as stated, Toyota 4-life coolant (red) is the way forward.

EDIT wooo 2000 posts lol :)
