DannyW
Can anyone tell me what an n/a supra would need to weigh to get the same power to weight ratio as a stock TT?
merckx
Somewhere in the region of 1100 kg .
Daston
Well stock NA has 151bhp per ton TT has 213bhp per ton So an NA would have to weigh around 1 ton so you would have to shave around 400kg off

Rayman
Roughly 1075kg going by my calcs!
DannyW
I think it would be a massive struggle getting anywhere near 1200kgs to be honest. Well without investing huge amounts of cash in carbon panels etc. Back to the drawing board then!
Rayman
Yep i agree, thats a lot of weight to shift!
robin
imagine a TT that weighed only 1100 KG. 296 HP per ton
Daston
Yeah its amazing what a difference the weight makes. If you look at the hot hatches out there most of them have a better BHP per ton than the SZ and a lot of sports cars have more than the TT. Homer
I think you'd have a very hard time getting a TT (or even a single) below 1400kg. The NA will be easier as the engine, drivetrain and loom are lighter. If you're going to try it, best of luck to you For whats it's worth, mine is 387 bhp/ton
Daston
I am hoping to get the griffith to around 500bhp per ton should be a good 1/4 mile time if I can get the power down
