jazz1
ok so my ex is textin me asking me this, problem is i never stayed in contact with her until she contacted me a while back and then disapears, we have still been friends but i hardly see her and never went out with her for more than a month(as shes the kind to cheat), if i lend her this that would mean my supe will be delayed more another month and i always put my supra before any chick? i also owe my mum 500 and dad 300 this month to clear of the money i borrowed for my supe last month:rolleyes: quote what she texted me:- "i know its rude, but cud i borrow 900.00 by 2nite, or they wil take my car. i will pay you bk, im in debt my parents dnt know or i wud ask" "or 450 2nite and 450 next week, will pay you bak wont run away" what would you guys do? Animal
Stay clear mate. You don't lend money unless it's to someone you really trust and even then, unless you can comfortably afford it, I'd be wary of lending anyone just short of a grand like that. It's her mess, let her deal with it. Unless you were involved in the money side of things then it's none of your business. She needs to learn how things go and not to expect everyone to bail her out of whatever crap she's in.

far
considering you only went out with her for a month and you are a bit short of cash yourself this month I would tell her 'No' - if you arent getting any and fancy a bit then maybe offer to lend her a couple of hundred and see if she gives you anything back

DaveK
There are people I would lend £1K to without a second's thought. There are even ex's I'd lend £1K to confident I'd get it back. But there is no way I'd lend it to somebody I dated for 1 month!

Animal
Just tell her you can't afford it. Plain and simple - NO! You've got your own stuff to sort out. If she's already struggling to pay for stuff, when is she going to be able to pay you back. If she never speaks to you again 'cos of this, you're not really losing anything except a psychic vampire leeching off you and trying to guilt you into giving her what she wants. It's not your problem. End of.
JustGav
A tenner is a favour... £900 is a serious loan IMO.... And having an emotional connection with the person means that they can fob you off... I speak from experience with a family member who owed me £3500, and I'm currently getting it back at £50/month after much shouting and arguing... juanchan
Good man - definitely don't lend it to her. There's not many people I'd loan a grand to, but if I had that much spare cash, I'd be the first to borrow it from me

You don't just forget you have got a payment, they usually hound people for weeks before sending someone round to pick up the car.
