Whitesupraboy2
I went to the one last year at longleat where i queued for 6hours and never saw anything...so nope. Also it was £35 a car then, not £50 a ticket.

mwilkinson
I went last year too. Was there for a number of hours, however through my old Air Force contacts we knew pretty much from the first test flight that the event was a no go due to the heavy winds. Those little aircraft just can't handle the cross winds, especially when landing on a grass strip. The place was packed, but as pointed out that was when a car was only £35. We got 6 people in an MPV for that. Is it true this year its £50? Is that per person or per car?

edd_t
I'll be sitting in the Lehman building listening to it.. My sister used to work for Lehmans, didnt like the new building and left! lol Anyway, just got home! it was the absolute nuts, got to see 28 'laps' in all. they looks seriously wicked, fast and scary nutters close up. Also during the races army Lynx were doing aerobatics and the Redbull 307!!! Can honestly say I've never seen a helicopter to what it did! Will post a few pics up if they are any good, but with my crappy camera all i problably have are dots on the water!

dangerous brain
that lynx display is amazing. You want to see an awesome display you need to see an SF pilot do a chinook display, you can hear it for miles and its unbloodybelievable. Also the hercules display will take your breath away. Digsy
Just on the train on the way back now. Thank God it didn't rain and we fainally laid the ghost of last year's dissappointment at Longleat. All I can say was it was amazing! How those pilots fit their balls into those little planes I'll never know... Excellent view from the O2 grandstand as well. Shame it was more pricey this year but at least it did happen! I felt sorry for Bonhomme (the Brit) for being pipped at the post on his home turf but at least he's still leading the series. Top stuff! I'll try to edit a video together in a few days.

I'll try to edit a video together in a few days. we were on the North side of the river. was pretty good as we could see the planes stacking up and getting ready, then bombing down between canary wharf and O2 for a quick pass at the starting gate
Digsy
I watched a lot of it through the viewfinder on my camcorder, so I'm loking forward to seeing my own footage - especially when the first plane came screaming through the entry gate at nearly 400kph, went straight out of shot and I spent about 10 seconds trying to find him again! Wasn't Mangold half a second down on his last run, and then finished nearly a second up? I think he made up all the time on his last half-cuban. It seemed much much tighter than all the others. I wonder if any of his blood has found its way back into his head yet?
