fastisnice
Its time to hit 1000bhp . I've seen a 3.25 ready short block from SP which comes very cheap at 5,9$(thank god we still have GBP!) which is well under 3K GBP comes ready built with CP pistons/custom rods/mod oil pump/ARP studs.Im also going to get a DBB with a 74mm compressor wheel(since lag will be less with the stroker) I'm just wondering Do I need anything else? engine main bearings? or is it a matter of a straight swap? AshBhp
Bargain, as you say comes built, so straight bolt on What max RPM do they warrant to ? What spec head you going for?
Guest Nicholas
fuckign bargain if you don't want it I'll take it
supradibbs
maybe consider a larger manifold??

I you are going to go the whole hog,why not go for the full T6 race manifold with something like a GT47-80.Laggy but capable of huge power. Obviously a fuel system upgrade with triple pumps would be in order among a fair few other things. You seem to be a power junkie so why not? Now that would be a fast car ! fastisnice
Bargain, as you say comes built, so straight bolt on What max RPM do they warrant to ? 9,500RPM if im not mistaken..but ill stick to 8,200 What spec head you going for? Owen developments has built my head last year. They 've done it with some racing specialist so thats all good.. GT47 80: its a hell of a laggy turbo, it still has to be streetable. Race T4 Manifold: whats the difference with my current manifold? Whats the benefit? (i got an SP71 turbo).

Alex
The Full Race has less backpressure than pretty much any other manifold out there...can be specced with 2x TIAL 44mm WG's, but 1 should be enough for your application. Basically it looks pretty and features large diameter piping releasing just a little more power

Jake
Only 3.2? Why not go for 3.4?
fastisnice
I know but its double the price(around 6K) for a 3.4 short block..
Jake
Fair enough, I guess. If I was going to that much trouble though I might well be tempted to go the whole hog.
fastisnice
its not really much trouble as i got everything else ready, its a case of a straight swap..(short block+turbo)
rob wild
That is a really good price! Last time i priced it up the parts were more than that! Is it block exhange? or are you starting with a new Toyota short block? How long does it take? Cheers Rob
SimonB
It's not as good a price as you think, as you need to send them your old block, and it doesn't include shipping (both ways if you're sending them your block) which will not be cheap. Plus VAT and import duty, which you're going to get stung on for something like an engine - not much chance of claiming it's worth $100 or something with something like that! Good point but would it still not work out cheaper than having it built in the UK?
fastisnice
off course it will be cheaper, even so with all the tax and everything, i doubt will be more than 500-600 pounds..i reckon final cost will be around 3,5K-3,6K max.Think about the cost of labour+kit to get it done over here. You talking at least 6K.
