jase_93tt
Just had one fitted the other week. Pretty impressive air flow going on with it. Made over 40 rwhp just by bolting the thing on and throttle response is much more responsive now the stock (and crap!) traction control has been removed. Getting the fuelling corrected next weekend so hopefully more gains to be gotten. A worthwhile investment.
Gamer
Good to see you finally got this fitted mate, did you run into any fitment issues like I did ?
Sharpie
You did a power run with your fuelling not 100% ?? Or are you saying it just needs tweeking due to the extra air flow ?
jase_93tt
Good to see you finally got this fitted mate, did you run into any fitment issues like I did ? Thanks Gamer. Glad you remembered. The whole project wasnt too bad in the end:- A new washer bottle had to be fabricated as the original one is too big to stay in the stock location, so a smaller one was necessary. Oil dip stick was in the way of the plenum, so had to move slightly moved heater element as that was in way of new intercooler pipe cut hole for new intercooler pipe to be fed through relocated battery to trunk relocated fuse box relocated engine coolant overflow bottle Car drives sweet, just needs a few adjustments on the fuelling side of things, but other than that, its all good How is your project coming along ? Gamer
Good stuff. Mine is supposed to be going in for paint/bodywork today. Who knows if it did or not. I am really starting to loose interest in it all now to be honest. This whole thing has been taking ages, my whole summer is/was shot and I have a feeling that I am going to get stuck with an astronomical bill to pay that I am not going to be too pleased about. Hopefully things work out OK but at this point and time I am not much of a happy camper.
jase_93tt
Gamer, Hope you get your car sorted. I know how it feels having to wait ages for any progress etc. 3 months I waited for my car to get booked in, get the work done and out. But at least the jobs all good and no complaints on the workmanship. Id rather wait and have it right than rushed through, and its not right on collection day. Whats the spec of your project - mechanicals from your orange car moved across to the new one ?
