Piano Wire?!

I think it may refer to the block being O-ringed? I've never heard of this with an engine that has a metal head gasket as standard, but basically a groove is cut into the block surface around the cylinders, and a wire (usually copper) is pressed into the groove. Then when the head goes back on the wire presses into the head giving extremely high clamping forces and warding off a blown head gasket.

Piano wire? What is this, Billy Joel's car?! Enlighten me!

I have read the replies, people are probably reading too much into the ad. In the trade I see many "piano wored" engines. Someone loses a hose clip, so they twist paino wire around, and hope. Throttle cable frays, piano wire will do nicely... Those funky little plastic clips that are on the injectors broken/? Piano wire them on, same for that loose rad. Get the picture?

Try and keep the bonnet shut (well, the cables been replaced with the ubiquitous piano wire, so it probably does stay shut, permanently. Hence the engine becomes Top Secret.
