You can then sutbly draw her attention to it when shes passing and moaning about you being on that bloody forum again.......you can run through the dilema "this guy" is having and ask her what she would like without any indication of your plans on october.............. then you get it straight from the horses (metaphorically speaking) mouth and you can stop worrying about the timing cause as sure as eggs is eggs you'll get it wrong otherwise..... Then if she needs any clothes she can get them at the airport or on holiday. All you really need is money/passports/tickets - enjoy the moment and the surprise she'll get ......
