How much for SO3's?

Hi all,

Due a pair of rear SO3's on the Supe this coming month. They're 255 x 40 x 17". Any idea how much I should expect to pay? I found an invoice for £ 376 inc. vat for the last two. Dunno whether you can get them cheaper than that anywhere??

Cheers,

Hi Badtoy,

Thanks for that, but I'd really rather go for Bridgestone SO3's as I know they're superb on this car. I notice MyTyres don't do Bridgestones, so perhaps that's why the others are cheaper - I don't know.

Thanks anyway.

Try Bracknell Tyre and Battery.

My Pirelli Pzero Rossos were listed as £240 each at my local dealer but BT&B price was £205.

These were 285*30*18 and I know 265*35*18's were £156 at the time.

The Pzero Rosso is just about equivalent to the SO3 so I'd say £200->£240 would be the price bracket.

Hi, Kaleel, long time no speak. Have you tried Foxhunters tyres at Whitley Bay they seem to be the cheapest company for tyres in this neck of the woods. They usualy do price match as well.

I would also recomend giving michdelver a call as they are really cheap, and their service is top notch.

Are you going to Billing this year?

Cheers

Just split with my girlfriend, so it looks as though I will be down on my own this year, so camping will probably be a viable option.

Only problem is I don't have a tent and I have never slept in a tent since I was 16 so I don't have a clue. The cost to buy a tent will probably be more than it will cost to stay in some basic accomodation.

Is there a night out planned for the saturday? or is it a barbi + a few beers?

Sorry about you girlfriend mate. But yes, you should get yourself down on the Saturday to camp over. Many beers and if Peter has an ything to do with it: aftershock (chemical negligence in a bottle).

Not sure whether you'll really need a tent. Peter usually sleeps in his car and I'm toying with that idea myself. If you want to get a tent for light camping like Billing, just get an el cheapo tent from somewhere like, oh, I dunno, ASDA or something. Mine's a decent one, but I'm into that sort of stuff - so don't waste money on an expensive one just for events that aren't going to have extreme conditions.

I'll be taking my stove down and I should think someone'll have a barbecue of some description. Try getting a couple of those self-contained ones: they've got everything you need in them and are dead cheap and compact.

I think some people went off to the pub last year on Saturday, but I'm usually too scruffy for that:D and we usually stick to the beers on the grass.

Cheers,
