Figured I'd make a post as there's quite a few of us. How's everyone at the moment with the mayhem going on? From what I've heard the water and power's going off all over the place at the moment, luckily I've still got both, but I've stocked myself up here...

Apparently we've just had 50 more big water tankers arrive but that water's going to run out pretty quickly, so if anyone's desperate, and if I've still got water and electricity, I'm happy for you to come round and fill stuff up and grab a hot shower (Bring your own towels)...

Has you house flooded then mate or are you okay at the mo?

I'm OK - I've got a 1st floor flat :) - I'm a bit worried about the garage as the drainage isn't great down there, so I've got everything valuable up as high as possible...

I'll be fine if the water goes off, but if the power goes off I think I'll die of boredom!...

I'm still after bits at the moment, I'll update my other thread with what I'm after in a bit, I had some bits at Dads, which thankfully we put up high as his garage had flooded, I'm seriously considering bring them into the flat, it's taking long enough to get them, I don't want what I've got to get messed up!...

Yeah, thankfully I work in Bristol so I stopped off and got 24 litres earlier, and I've already got a load of buckets filled so I'm fine with that, and I'll just take the empties to work and fill them up, and grab a shower and so on...

I've also got plastic plates (31p for 4 from Tescos), so I don't need to worry about washing up, and a camping cooker so I can still whip up a feast :)

The main thing I'm worried about is losing the power, as with no net, and no TV, I'll be lost!... The laptops are fully charged though so I'll still be able to watch a DVD, and recharge it at work tomorrow :) - I've also got Thursday and Friday off so if it's still bad I think I'll be booking a quick weekend away :)...

Well i work out of Gloucester and its a complete nightmare across the region! The only way i can get to Gloucester at the mo is the motorway and even that has been pushing closure again! I'm back home in Herefordshire now and got tomorrow off thank god :)

Hope all the power etc stays on with you Pot!

The part of Cheltenham I'm in is bone dryish today. But Friday afternoon was another story! It was like the end of the world. Loads of mates in Tewkesbury (as advertised on the news) and surrounding areas have all be evacuated. Worse still are looters are hitting empty houses and abandoned cars. Still got running water here but this will go off tomorrow. Fortunately power is ok.

Where abouts are you Chewie?... I'm up by GCHQ, the roads are OK, the rain's stopped for the moment, but the water's off, and according to a mate GL50 and 51 are going to lose their power tonight, but I'm trying to find a source to confirm it...

Not so far from you. I'm in Benhall. Only minor disaster is Hatherley Lane has collapsed. I heard the threat of power loss is lifted but the big worry is NO DRINKING WATER FOR TWO WEEKS. That means no pubbing, clubbing, work (health and safety), eating out etc. Welcome to the stone age.

Phew on the power, I don't know what I'd have done with myself!... Sadly I work in Bristol, so the only thing that'll get me out of work is if the roads are down... I've been informing some mates of the H&S issues to help them with getting out of work, at the Grange, they've got a whole stack of Portabogs in the car park and issued an e-mail saying that the blokes are banned from using the usual loos, and have to use them from now on, and they're supplying free soft drinks as well as drinking water so they're doing fine, but the Chelsea have imported a whole 3 Portabogs, for 700 staff... I feel there's going to be a revolution tomorrow :)

Time to start looking at where to go for the weekend though, I won't be able to cope without a kebab!... I might phone Turkish Delight to see if they're still operating :)

It's amazing the difference a day makes. Only Wednesday I took the motorbike out for a spin past the Mythe Bridge pumping station they keep showing on the news. It's a great stretch of road. Further up is Jn 1 of the M50 with a double roundabout I use to scrub my tyres. SOB. It's under 10 ft water.

Can you believe it people are scrambling over bottle water in all the supermarkets. Bread and milk has all sold out and now they're queuing up for petrol! It's tap water!!! Not Perrier, bread, milk and petrol.

I know exactly what you mean... We shopped on the way home from Bristol, and they're nearly out of water, bumped into people from Churchdown and Cheltenham there too!... We got 80 litres of bottled water, for 3 houses, I've got 24 of that for myself, which to be fair is way more than I need to stock as I've got supplies at work, but I just bought 4 pints of milk and a loaf of bread, which is all I usually get...

I agree it's worth stocking up, but do these people not realise places not too far away don't have an issue and are fully stocked, it's not exactly world war 3?... On Friday night, the petrol stations were rammed, which is fair as people got caught out, the people I saw were from out of town just passing through, but people should realise what's going on by now?...

Just watching it on itv and its just started raining heavy again. feel sorry for you lot. i have a spare room if need and just outside of bristol. Also a safe place to store a supra or 3 ;)

That's a kind offer fella, nice one :) Hopefully us with sense are all prepared and OK, but it's always good to see people offering help, great club spirit :)

My sisters house was flooded last month (Longlevens) and they've since been living with my parents in Longhope. On Friday it flooded again and is under 5 foot of water, also writing off all the insurance companies dehumidifiers from the 1st flodd!

She's supposed to be getting married on Thursday, so it's major stress time at my parents place this week. Heading back there Wednesday... just hope they still have running water and the roads are open....
