MrHanky Posted July 22, 2007 Share Posted July 22, 2007 Well i have just got back after having my appendix out and just wanted to say thanks to the well wishers. The internet access was like a pre-programmed interface where you could only view selected sites via a touch screen. I did however manage to get out of it and into the forum at one point and spent the morning reading posts I am very gutted that I didn't pick me car up and also very gutted about not going JAE as I was really looking forward to that. Now I have got a boring 2 weeks stuck at home before I can go back work and I was midway through decorating when I got took into hospital and im not going to be able to finish that for a while. Its not really a manly scar, I can't actually see it too well at the minute as it hurts to to try and look at it Don't think its quite keyhole surgery but it is pretty small and neat. Well i had it taken out when i was a young kid so dont remember a lot, just remember being off school for 2weeks or so, i remember it was dead painful at first and then recovered really quickly, i remember because i wanted more time off school lol and was dissapointed i recovered so quick! haha:d Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Was onyl a kid at school and the Doctor thought it was intergestion, so I didn't eat for 3 days while he waitied it out. By the end could hardly get up the stairs to bed, it hurt so much. Pretty early one morning, 05:00ish my Mum heard me moaning and we went to Hospital in an Ambulance... Had it out my 08:00 and woke up with no pain.. Yer it is very painful, I had it really bad about a month and a half ago and the doctor at the hospital in all his wisdom sent me home with some drugs and no scan Thankfully they scanned me this time and confirmed that it was my appendix and that it might be leaking fluid, a few hours later and its out Wasn't too bad in hospital, just paid to use the TV and I was OK.
