Mcgoo
I believe your licence, V5 and insurance are ment to have the same address on them.

Soop Dogg
You can insure your vehicle at any address you like, but they'll take into account that the car is at a different location to you and therefore (in their eyes) will be easier for someone to nick, so the premium may have an extra loading placed on it. Mcgoo
I stand corrected. I also move around quite alot and I'm sure that I read somewhere that it is illegal to have the wrong address on your driving licence, even your parents'. I may be mistaken. As soop dogg said though, I'm sure if the car is insured at a different place to where it is registered that would effect the premium. garethr
The car should be insured using the address where it's kept. The insurance company would be a bit miffed (as in refuse to pay out) if, for example, they found out that it was insured as garaged in a quiet suburb, but was stolen from the street outside the inner-city flat where you actually live. Yeah, that would be fraud! My V5 and insurance are both where I actually live, but my license has my parents address as I never changed it when I moved away to uni.
