Jake
The hot start on my car isn't very good. Typically it turns over for 2 to 3 seconds before the engine fires up. Ryan did have a play about with the startup AFRs but it didn't make much difference regardless of whether he leaned it off or richened it up. I've been reading this article on the Motec web site which suggests that an injector timing of about 275 degress BTDC generally works well. Looking at the settings in my map the Inj Timing seems to be set around 373 to 400 DBTDC. (Screenshot attached below) Would it safe for me to knob about with this? I presume I only need to change the values for 0 and 500 RPM - is that right? Thanks
SimonB
I've only got an RPM axis on my injector timing table, and it's pretty much 400 everywhere. You shouldn't need to arse about with it really I think.
Jake
Yeah but I'm trying to figure out why the hot start isn't very good.
SimonB
Fair enough. Can't see it doing any damage fiddling with it.
