RobSheffield
How do you get the windows to scroll in 3D in Vista? Driver wise, will there ever be any support for HP printers?! Supposing someone bought a PC with Vista on it, would it be possible to remove vista and put say XP on instead? Damn thing wont let me open attachments, open in new windows etc, and it just stopped doing it like 10 mins ago!
jamesmark
Driver wise, will there ever be any support for HP printers?! Just a hint but contact HP, but at a guess, would be yes for a company of that size to not offer driver updates. Unless the printer was made years ago. Supposing someone bought a PC with Vista on it, would it be possible to remove vista and put say XP on instead? I bought a laptop with Vista on it and reinstalled it with XP and works fine. Homer
Unless you have some archaic printer, the HP drivers should be fine with Vista. Let me know if you get any problems with them, I work for the buggers

Lewis
GFX card must be up to aero standard - run the performance information app under control panel it will tell you if aero will run on your machine. I *think* it needs to be at least a
paul_y3k
the aero thing is only available to vista ultimate users. got to love these reduced functionality builds.
Paul
More mis-information about Vista!! I'm running Vista Home Premium and it has 'Aero' on it. Small icon on the left of the taskbar will send it into 3D mode. Also key command will do it but I've forgot what it is at the moment:d Oh yeah, another thing is that my Toshiba has an Aero rating of 3.1 and it runs perfectly. paul_y3k
ahhh ok i see .... so it doesn't do that on alt-tab though !
grahamc
windows shotcut key and tab does the same. I thought it was the premium edition features he was after something to do with the desktop, moving images or something.

Schtuv
the aero thing is only available to vista ultimate users. got to love these reduced functionality builds. Business edition gets it, and premium, as well, AFAIK. I run business edition, and it amused me for all of 1 minute before I disabled it. Turn on the Aero interface, and hit WinKey-Tab ... if it's all set up right you'll get an icon on your quick launch bar for it, too.
