Gazzawu
Hi there im going to fit my wideband by replacing one of the narrowband oxygen sensors. I read somewhere (supraforums i think) you can link the 2 connectors together simply by joining two pins in the diagnostics port- is that true? now i spent a couple of mins yesterday to check the diagnostics port and im assuming u can stick a paper clip into the ox1 and ox2 pins? I asked basically the same question the other day to no avail. According to the guys on clubna-t you can. At present your ecu is monitoring/adjusting in two banks of three, connect them together and it is monitoring three cylinders but adjusting all six with the data it sees from the three it is monitoring. I was told by the tuner at Eurospec 2000 some time ago that you can get a wideband sensor which also has a narrow band output as well. I guess if true this would be the ideal thing to use. I too am looking at sensor options at the moment with my supercharger mod.

There are x2 O2 sensors on non domestic Supras and i would guess the diagnostic 1 & 2 will just let the diagnostic machine check the sensors. I had the same problem when fitting my wideband and i decided it was easier just to run the wideband AND the stock sensor, it cost me £40 for a new flange welding onto the down pipe.
