matt k
Hi Guys, I've just had my aircon re-gassed but it is not working (It has never worked btw), the aircon engineer who looked at it said that the refridgerant is not leaking and that he could get the compressor to engage when he sent a signal to it, but it won't engage when the a/c button is pressed, he said he is not familiar with the Supra aircon system but suspected that a fan of somekind is missing and i have seen a small fan in a wire basket on a car at the breakers yard that my car definatley doesn't have, would this be causing the problem? Matt.
RobSheffield
Matt, it could be a few things. It could be your A/C unit (the buttons) are broken or the compressor engages but is faulty. IIRC, the fan on the rad is for the evaporator/condenser system.
Steve
Bring it to JAE, Ibrar might be able to help.

SimonB
If you do a search on here, there's a diagnostics thing for the aircon - you turn on the ignition while holding a couple of buttons and it flashes an error code at you. Can't remember the details now but it's on here somewhere...

Ibrar Jabbar
It's possibly a faulty pressure switch, try the AC diagnostics to see what faults show up.
