juanchan
facebook....... god that makes me feel old. A internet culture that has passed me by. I didn't want to get sucked in, but when you miss out on big London get-togethers with your uni mates because "we couldn't invite you - you're not on Facebook " I thought I might as well. Which I think is absolutely cr*p - how hard is it to pick up a phone these days? Or even send a text message? Has typing a quick "alright mate, not seen you for ages, we're having a p*ss up in London on the Xth" seriously become too much hard work? Wow. I sound older than I am
Class One
Times change. Things pass you by. Facebook/myspace/bebo all those type of things just belong to a different generation to me. It's not that i don't understand them, I just don't need them. When my wifes nephew was travelling though he posted up all his photos and blog on whatever site he was using so it was a good way of keeping intouch by just loggin into his profile. I guess it can be a convenient way to keep in touch with your mates especially when you drift away after college and stuff, but at my age, what do i need it for. I have everything I need at home in my real world and a good bunch of people that I've met through here.
Pete
I totally agree Doug. The Internet is my job and hobby...but I really do not need all these fad sites. I can kinda appreciate Flickr...but even that is more work than I want to put in. Maybe I'm afraid if I try it I'll get sucked in.
RobSheffield
I can totally see that Facebook will be a fad only, just like Myspace (i couldnt even be bothered putting time into that, and now i dont even log on!)

Homer
Facebook is scary, I have actual friends from my actual life on there! lol, thats so true I'd never used it until a month or so ago a mate set up his entry to share some pics of a stagg do and of course we all signed up to see them. Within a week we all had 'invites' from old school/uni friends, family members, work colleagues, members here, ex's and some people I'd rather forget about Even had an invite from Paul Kent last week! One of my sister's ex boyfriends who was like my big brother about 10 years ago sent me a mail, freaky!
Homer
I wonder why people use it instead of the likes of myspace, maybe more user friendly. I think it might be because it's more user friendly than myspace. The way the interactions appear to work seems a little more mature... Also, it's more private so only the people you allow can see your pics.
