Why did you obscure the number plate?

I was asked to by the constable who was stood near me when taking the pic, not sure why he asked me but thought i'd better do as told. It's not like you would'nt recogise it though is it ?

I was thinking that too, seeing as they have fast cars, and helicopters, what is the need for a bike? They have scramblers to go down alleyways/cross country if needed, and the risk of getting hit off it must be too high...

Smells of a promotional stunt to me?...

EDIT : It'll probably sit on the side of a motorway catching speeders at 85mph...

Saw this today and thougth i'd have to take a picture or two, CBR1000 Fireblade aka "Policeblade" :D

190+ MPH police pursuit bike = £10k

190+ MPH police pursuit car = ???

police pursuit helicoptor = ???

once the supra gets to 190, with this thing on your ass, just tap the brakes... and wait for the white of his eyes!! :eyebrows:

Pretty much what I was thinking, but I couldn't think of the right words to put... I doubt this would ever become a serious high speed chase vehicle, the safety implications should always say a car's a better tool?...

New addition to the spoiler!! :D

Ofcourse a car is safe...

I think it's designed as a deterent and maybe to pursue other superbikes??

Bikes can weave in and out of traffic much better than any performance car.

I do agree that there are applications for bike, and traffic is probably one the best uses!

Looks like Sussex have been playing with a few bits of kit lately then.

I spotted these two on their stand at Goodwood.

The Lotus is "totally impractical" while the Harley is "in service" according to the guy I spoke to.
