cheers for the info guys, gonna have a read up now and see, one question that i have is, with the innovate unit, does this convert to anolog so the stock ecu can read the signal or does it have to be run with a standalone ecu? as im not totally sure where i want to go with that yet?

You can use one of the two configurable narrow band simulated outputs that the Innovate can generate, to run a stand alone/piggyback or the std ECU but why would you want to replace the std sensor? the wideband won't fir in the same place as it has different fittings, it also may be a bit close to the turbo in some cases, some wide band sensors can be a bit sensitive to temperature
