Jake
We have a member who is a vet, don't we? Our 3 month old beagle pup has developed a large lump on his head. We first noticed it a couple of days ago but it's getting bigger at an alarming rate. I don't think it's an injury from him banging his head on something because it's not sore. At least it doesn't seem to bother him if you touch the lump. He seems OK in himself but obviously I'm worried about him. I'll be taking him to the vet's tomorrow but just wondered if anyone had an idea what it might be. (Especially the chap who is a vet but whose name I forget ATM) See attached photos. The lump is at the back of his head where it meets his neck. Poor little guy.
SupraStar 3000
could it be a bee or wasp sting? My cat gets them all the time.
Pig
No idea, hope he's ok though.
MrRalphMan
Hopefully it's nothing more then a ganglion.. (No idea if that's the correct spelling), but a mate had one on his hand. Doesn't affect you, but looks right weird. He had it surgically removed.

SUPRALOOPY
Mrs says could be a sist or an insect sting/tick. Has the dog been acting strange (really tired or off balance?) she says get it looked at!

edge
What did the vet say? Our dobe had a lump come up on the side of her face which turned out to be gland in the wrong place, now she has one on her back which they also tested and say it either a bruise/puncture under the skin where they play rough or something with a long name (forgot) but nothing to worry about. Hope its nothing serious.

Jake
Weird thing. When the dogs got back from their evening walk last night the lump had decreased in size by about 50%! This morning it's all but gone. Dunno what it was but he looks fine again now so I didn't take him to the vet. I'm glad I took those photos yesterday otherwise I might have thought I'd imagined it. Paul
Good news mate, bit of a worry seeing that yesterday. Must have been a build up of fluid for some reason? Paul
Jake
Yeah it was a bit worrying. Bloody strange though, he went out for his walk looking like Quasimodo and came back half an hour later looking almost normal.
