Does anyone have any ideas on good phones and contracts I could go for?

Im tempted to go for the Sony Ericsson K810i, as it has a 3.2 megapixel camera, a 1gb memory card for free and Sony seem to make very reliable phones with lots of features. Only problem is, everyone will have a K810i and I would like something a bit individual if possible.

Another option is LG prada, only a 2 megapixel camera, but does have a nice touchscreen facility and is a nice stopgap till the i-phone comes out over here at the end of the year. Dont know if 'Prada' emblazened on the phone would go with my hardcore image tho:

I'm a big fan of the Sony Ericsson phones, i would go for the K810i. After having a Samsung in the past i wouldn't go back. I was offered an upgrade from my K800i the other day and i liked the look of the U600 but i'm guessing i wouldn't like the phone so i left it and i think i'll just wait for the Apple Iphone.

The Nokia N95 has some good features on it too like built in gprs with maps and stuff on, but apparently they're having a lot of bother with them.

Tell me about it, now on my fourth. Earpiece packs in everytime. A friend of mine has a Sony Ericsson not sure of the model but its about 5mm thick, very nice

I wouldnt touch the D900. I know 2 or 3 people who have had them. The screen is so thin, it breaks very easily.

One of my mates opened the box it came in to find a cracked screen.

Unless they have altered it now

I've had mine for 10 months, it's kept in my back pocket and I'm in and out of the van all day.

No problems at all. ;)

My girlfriend has got an N95 and its a great phone with a lot of features. Downsides are crap battery life, slightly slow now and again and good old nokia lock ups every now and again

Yeah what Jake said + update software. Seems, that first versions made to specific company requirements (orange, vodaphone etc.) was little buggy. Carl0s gave a link some time ago to "how-to" update stuff on N95, search this forum.

Like most i'd recomend the sony k810. The slim one is the walkman range w880,very nice phone.

U600 is nice but be honest we have alot of lg and samsungs coming back with the same old 'blank white screen' problem. N95 has loads of features but it has its problems like already mentioned. Found that alot of n95 user dont exit the applications, instead just press the red button. Application carries on running in the background which causes freezing or switching off.hold menu key to show running apps. The new sony out next month with 5meg camera and hsdpa internet. Wait for that mate! :)

That 'pressing the red button not exiting apps" thing is a bit hit and miss. It exits TomTom just fine but not the radio.

I must say though that the 5mp camera on the n95 is shite compared to even a basic real camera like an iXUS.
