colsoop
i have an MOT due on Thursday and im not 100% on the legality of my current lighting set up. At the moment the original small (pre facelift) side lights are my indicators and the fog lights are now the sidelights. I no longer have any front fogs. Is this a failure point ? It is looking touch and go for my car coming to JAE as i wont have time to sort any issues if it fails
Jake
Not 100% sure but I believe you don't need front foglights for the MoT test. BTW, I've been driving my car with no MOT for the last two months. It's a no-points offence and only a £30 fine if you get caught. (I've been done for it before)

dandan
I never knew that about the no points offence for no MOT. Does that apply if your old one lapsed by up to a couple of months or if you didn't have one for let's say 2 years Genuine question by the way.. Class One
The offence of no MOT is non endorsable, however, if your vehicle is in a dangerous condition you can collect points for that. Edit to add, front fog lights are not obligatory but position (side) lights are.
