RedM
Wand-erful. Good, escapist stuff. Really enjoyed it. Also, discovered that going to the cinema for 9am on aSunday is great. No scrotty kids and no scumbag adults talking all the way through. Just us and a few others. I'll be going at this time more often.
R3DG3CKO ROB
Have you read the books? I found it jumped about a bit... I'm sure I'll come to love it but there seemed to be a lot of the story missing...
Charlotte
Have you read the books? I found it jumped about a bit... I'm sure I'll come to love it but there seemed to be a lot of the story missing... I'm sure that's going to be true of all the films. They don't have anywhere near enough time to describe the whole book accurately. Still I can't wait to see it. cashpoint
Have you read the books? I found it jumped about a bit... I'm sure I'll come to love it but there seemed to be a lot of the story missing... All films of book are strange but then how else are they to compact 700 odd pages into 2 hours.
Dragonball
Difficult book to film this one... but I thought it was the best of the lot... Not one for the young kids though (12A) had to show my I.D. at the door - ho hum - the price you pay

juanchan
You enjoyed this then? I thought the book of this was an utter waste of a months evening reading. The series started off really well with the first book. The second was like Rocky 2 (same story, just re-spun), so it was good, but unoriginal. The third book is by far the best but the film was absolutely appalling - the book was much darker and a more mysterious feel to it, cracking read The fourth book was too long, but still very good. Not seen the film as the first 3 films haven't been up to any vague expectations I may have had. The fifth book; Myself and my sister genuinely believe she could have written this in about 150 pages because absolutely nothing happened in it, apart from that guy who died at the end. And there was no body, so IMO, he returns in the last book... The sixth book was too long again, but a return to the earlier books in that it kept moving and took you really deep into a fantasy world. I hope the last book is nothing like the fifth! Plus she said on Friday night with J Ross that she kills 2 characters off. Anyone placing bets on Harry being for the chop?
