uk-rich
Looks like the same method I used on my air intake you made a good job on that, how do you avoid creases in the fibre when covering the corners etc
Paul
Tell a lie, the fan shroud looks like it's either all carbon or a fibreglass base with top layer of carbon. Still looks the same though
Paul
you made a good job on that, how do you avoid creases in the fibre when covering the corners etc Coated the intake in some black contact adhesive and then let it go off a little, cut the Carbon cloth over size and lay it on. With the corners the cloth is very workable when dry and will adapt to corners etc very well. Afterwards you let dry a little and then roller clear resin over it. This is the problem part of the job, it takes a build up of around 4 to 5 coats and then you need to spend ages smoothing it off without going back down to the carbon cloth!
