Jake
This guy on here was having a problem with his car. He suspected a certain part might be causing the problem. I had a spare one and offered to send it him. He PM'd me his address and I sent it to him, for free mind - I even paid the postage. Now I see he's put the exact same part up for sale on here and sold it. This has annoyed me a bit. Am I being a miserable old git as usual or is that bit off? BTW,I couldn't give a stuff about the money. If I was money mad I wouldn't have given him the part in the first place. But for him to sell it on to another member without offering it back to me now he's apparently done with it seem like bad form to me. What do you reckon? markymark
Think you've every right to be a bit p**sed mate - I know I would be. Bit of a slap across the face if you ask me
Steve
I think that is out of order Jake. He should have at least sent the part back to you if he didnt use it. I would be very p****d off if someone did that to me.
ads274
But then again you will go to heaven and he will go to hell.
juanchan
That's definitely off mate. If another member willingly sends you a part you "think" you need, and it turns out you don't actually need it, the obvious thing to do is return it! I've heard stories of this sort of action from you before, Jake! You wouldn't have a spare air-con condensor would you?
Whitesupraboy2
Depends if he's had it over 6 months I wouldnt be to pissed as I would of guessed it was not the part needed. However if it was recent, Yep id be annoyed. Especially if they flogged it for a lot. P.s You are a miserable old git too mate
TonyP
I think you're right to be a little bit peeved. what a scumbag. Name and shame!
Alex
They should have offered you it back first. Then sold it if you didn't want it.

juanchan
I think you're right to be a little bit peeved. what a scumbag. Name and shame! I think a name and shame here wouldn't be necessary, unless it was an expensive part, in which case you could start claiming they have made a big profit off of someone else's great club spirit. Pot
I'd at least expect a "Cheers for the part, but it didn't solve it/I got another one before I got yours, do you want it back or can I flog it on?"... Else what's to stop people getting all of the freebies us guys offer and then flogging them?... Bit rude tbh...

Tricky-Ricky
IMO they should have just passed it on to someone else who could use it, rather than sell it.

juanchan
You mean the black cylinder thing that sits next/on the aircon radiator? I do And yes Jake, I would be p***ed too I'll be honest, I don't know! The aircon doesn't work on my car (was one of a few reasons I got the car cheap), and I was told it was a hole in the condensor. I've not really looked into it yet, but I think I've got one lined up already if it is the condensor. Thanks for the offer though mate! The Restorer
I'd be annoyed and as you're not really concerned about the money, I'd ask for it to be donated to a charity or the club. The money was never his or hers to begin with, so it shouldn't be too difficult to give it away.

waderz06
Im with you bud. Thats a bit unfair. As you were nice enough to help them they should have offered you something not just sold the part on.
