ice_kul
All the advice and help I have had here from this Supra family, has never let me down and has been honest - so thank you. I'm afraid I'm about to ask a question that I'm sure has been asked time and time again... but I can't find a straight answer from the past threads. I have a N/A. I waited 4 years to get a Supra but this was all I could finally afford. Initially I was fine with the performance - still am - but now and again, I just find it's not 'raw' enough. So.... I was thinking of P/X'ing it for a TT but a friend tells me I can stick a Supercharger in it. I've read the past posts and I think everyone finally agreed that getting a Turbo kit was going to be cheaper than Supercharging it. My N/A is in wicked condition - I love her - and if I could just turn her in to a powerhouse or just get more power in to her, I would prefer to do that. If I am to get a turbo kit for it, who do I turn to in order to get it all sorted? And how much on average will it cost? ... If it's better to P/X for a TT, where/who do guys recommend? If I install quality spark plugs, an Intercooler and better Exhaust system, would this make much difference? Not sure about getting an induction system installed 'cause I have read that the stock one is good enough for up to 500bhp - but I'm not looking that high to be honest. Help.... I'd be tearing my hair out, if I had any LOL
Guigsy
this is by far the best option if you ask me.... http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=114898 turboing a NA properly is very expensive. and its cheeper to get a TT 3 grand to transplant a TT engine into your NA is a bloody bargain if you ask me! Im tempted to get it done myself when i turn 25. Thought i'd put a little info up about the NA - TT conversions we're doing. We have just completed our 5th conversion in as many weeks. Very straight forward process and we average 2 full days from start to finish. One particular member's reaction when i took him for a demonstration in his freshly transplanted auto TT was something along the lines of 'Holy mother of cock i'm going to die!' We supply the complete conversion for £2000 should you wish to fit yourself or arrange instalation with another garage, or we can supply and fit for £3000. We can also BPU the car at the same time, the current conversion we're doing has had FMIC, and de-cat, and we have AEM ECU's, Uego wide band units, and tru boost controllers on the shelf. All parts and fitting work is warranted by ourselves should any related problems arise. Feel free to call if you wish to discuss your needs, 01327 858000 or 07779 725350. Pot
I thought I'd be happy with the power of my NA, but as I guess with all cars, after a while I got used to it, and started looking at other options... After talking to JodyT, and reading on here, I decided not to even consider doing anything to my NA lump, and to look at a TT conversion, and hopefully one day (After I've got the crash damage sorted), I'll get round to it
